NordicTrack

There are a number of NordicTrack ellipticals displayed on their web site and the price ranges appear to be fair, but in our opinion there are too many negative comments posted on the internet by past owners.

If this were typical with other product lines, we wouldn't be concerned, but with NordicTrack the caution phrase buyer beware comes to mind!

As far as we can tell, most models are made in China since the company experienced a change in ownership. In and of itself, this isn't a bad thing, but so many of the consumer complaints are related to structural problems.

For example, we found over two dozen irate comments due to improperly fitting parts, as well as the outrageous price you have to pay in order to get replacements at all. What's more, the functionality of their warranty appears to be almost a joke.

To their credit, NordicTrack offers some state-of-the-art LCD technology, which they call Grafixx™ Displays. It is quite an attractive display that can either show multiple information fields for more at-a-glance information, or show a single display as large as 1" tall, for on-the-fly goal training.

Like many other brands, you will get 16 digital resistance levels, but the adjustable stride lengths are only 18 to 20 inches. What's more, the incline is preset from 10 degrees up to 30 degrees, so if the minimum incline is still too intense for you... too bad (unless you want to pay for an upgrade).
